Do you have the skills to deal with an emergency situation? By completing one of the first aid courses you would understand what to do in an emergency. SM Safety Training can help you gain knowledge that could save a life. We run First Aid at Work (FAW), Emergency first aid (EFA), Paediatric first aid (PFA), all can be tailored to your setting.

Our (FAW) training courses cover the practical skills needed by a first aider in the workplace and will give students the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. We also offer paediatric first aid courses, two day classroom based or blended which is a mix of online training and classroom practical training.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID LEVEL 3

This qualification is intended for those working in early years settings that require a paediatric first aid qualification. This course meets the Department for Education requirements.

This is a 12 classroom based course that meets the OFSTED requirements.

Paedatric first aid
PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID LEVEL 3 BLENDED

One day classroom based and 6 hours study online at a time and pace to suit you. 

This course is suitable for those who work in an Early Years environment such as child minders, nurseries and meets the requirements for Ofsted and EYFS. After successful completion candidates are awarded a 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate which is valid for three years.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID

This is the most popular first aid qualification. The Emergency First aid at work qualification is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is ideal for those employers that need to meet the minimum requirement of first aid regulations; typically those working in shops, offices and other low risk environments.

First Aid At Work Level 3

This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in the workplace. The QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF) has been developed in conjunction with other AOs and supports employers to meet their requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. (NI 1982)

Refresher

This qualification is for qualified first aiders who are looking to undertake an annual first aid refresher as recommended by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

AED

Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF)

This qualification is for those that require additional training in basic life support and safe use of an AED. Many attendees are those working in environments that have  an AED available, such as Gyms and public places such as shopping centres, transport hubs etc. The qualification can also be used by staff working in Doctors and Dentists practice as part of annual training.
