Who should attend?
Those working in higher hazard environments (light engineering, assembly work, warehousing, construction, machinery) and will be responsible for 5 people or more. Also suitable for those working in a lower hazard environments (libraries, offices, shops) and responsible for more than 50 employees. Guidelines from Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Course Duration
A minimum of 18 hours spread over at least 3 days. Ideally, the course should be run over 3 consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire.

If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, or you require a more in-depth session, then we can accommodate you by providing additional training in that particular subject.
Certification
Subject to successful assessment, all participants will be issued with a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate (and a wallet card) . This qualification is valid for three years, which can be renewed by attending a suitable Two-Day re-qualification course. It is strongly recommended that all first aiders attend an annual refresher programme of a minimum three hours duration.
Assessment
All students will be subject to on-going assessment during the course in order to ensure that they are able to act safely, promptly and effectively when dealing with a casualty who is unresponsive, requires CPR and who is wounded and bleeding. In addition to the series of practical assessment there is also a theoretical test paper.
