The IOSH Managing Safely Course
The IOSH Managing Safely Course is the market-leading health and safety performance course for line managers, and it is tried, tested and trusted by those in a number of industries. What Does the Course Entail?
The course covers introducing managing safely, assessing risk, controlling risks, understanding responsibilities, understanding hazards, investigating incidents, and measuring performance. It will ensure that you can access and control risks and hazards, understand your own occupational safety and health responsibilities, investigate incidents, and it empowers you to measure your own performance.
How is the Course Assessed?
The course is assessed in two ways; the first way is that you will undergo a 45-minute paper assessment which consists of 30 questions in a variety of formats. The next requires you to complete a workplace hazards risk assessment, using the standard IOSH form. The project will be marked fully using IOSH criteria, and you need to have completed both parts of the qualification to gain the full qualification. The course takes 3 days to complete, and costs £300. It can be completed fully virtually, via Microsoft Teams.
